YOUR PUP'S RETREAT BY THE SEA

SeasideK9s is owned and operated by a veteran and a teacher who are commited to humane K9 care! We take pride in providing our pups a structured day of fresh air, exercise and socialization. Since our pack is small, we can focus on what every pup needs to be successful during their time with us!

HEALTH & SAFETY

Your pup’s health and safety is our priority! Our team has over 30 years of combined experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and special needs. We are all certified in animal first aid and CPR, and trained in medication administration including daily injections for insulin and IV fluids. As a result, we are equipped to handle dogs with various medical conditions and are prepared to respond quickly and calmly in case of any emergency.

We require all pack members to be up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and bordetella. We also strongly recommend canine influenza, lyme, and leptospirosis vaccines for social and active pups living in the New England area. Although vaccines are never 100% effectives, they minimize transmission of highly contagious diseases that can spread to other pets and humans.

Our facility is equipped with AerapyⓇ UV Disinfection Technology in both the HVAC unit, ductwork, and with additional standalone units on the walls in each room. AerapyⓇ kills 99.9% of tested virus and bacterial pathogens. In addition, we have 3 commercial air scrubbers and adequate ventilate to ensure your pup is kept as healthy and safe as possible from the spread of bacteria and communicable diseases.

We also clean and sanitize our interior and exterior spaces with germicidal cleaner and disinfectant daily. Our team takes all possible precautions to ensure the health and safety of our pack!

SOCIALIZATION & EXERCISE

At SeasideK9s our pups spend most of their time playing or interacting with other dogs or staff. The new facility has many different indoor and outdoor spaces for play and enrichment activities.

We rotate bigger and smaller play groups throughout the day based on which dogs are in attendance. The play groups are  selected based on play styles, temperament, canine preferences, size, and energy levels. We always maintain a staff ratio of at least 1 person to every 15 dogs which is in line with industry best standards. Often times, our staff-to-dog ratio is lower.

When dogs are in play groups, staff closely supervise, photograph, and facilitate interactions between all dogs, while also teaching and reinforcing prosocial behaviors.

One of the primary benefits of day camp is the opportunity for pups to interact and socialize with other K9s. This exposure helps them develop essential social skills, become more confident, and learn how to communicate effectively with all types of dogs.

Regular physical activity is also crucial for a dog’s overall health and well-being. Our outdoor play yards have 12,000 square feet for dogs to run, walk, and play. We  have agility equipment that we utilize as one of our enrichment activities. We also offer small pack walks for an additional fee for dogs that would benefit from some extra TLC while with us.

PET PAWRENTS LOVE US!

"Ethan and Molly are two of the most amazing, caring, compassionate people my husband and I have ever met. They are always there for us and our dogs. Whether it’s an early drop off, late pick up. A “can they stay one more night” phone call. They always say yes. They have saved us in so many situations. I really don’t know if they even realize how much they mean to us."

Once accepted into SeasideK9s, I saw a profound change in Chico. After about two weeks, Chico would jump with excitement when I said daycare and wag his tail and whine when we were pulling up to drop off. Chico has built such a strong connection with Ethan – which is such an accomplishment based on how he can be skittish with men. As a “shy” dog, Chico does well with all dogs, and I truly believe that is because of the investment we made in bringing him to SeasideK9s. He got the socialization he needed to make sure he was never fear-aggressive. SeasideK9s is a priceless resource to my family.

"A few years ago, just before a planned trip for us, and a 'vacation' for Cody, he injured his back and underwent emergency surgery. The recovery protocol required meticulous administration of several medications and restriction of movement - in effect, 24-hour care. Molly and Ethan were exceptional in their care of our dog and were in constant contact with us about his condition and recovery. SeasideK9s is the only 'vacation' home that we will consider for Cody when we are away. They are flexible and no request is ever too much. We receive regular updates and photos, and know that Cody is always well looked after - and loved. We cannot recommend SeasideK9s more highly. "
